Lifeguard Scholarship
Overview
Mojitos Country Club is pleased to offer a Lifeguard Scholarship Program for high school students aged 16-18. This scholarship will cover the cost of lifeguard training and certification, and recipients will be guaranteed employment at our pool for the summer season. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain valuable skills, earn money, and contribute to the safety and enjoyment of our community.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Mojitos Country Club Lifeguard Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Age Requirement:
High School students must be between 16 and 18 years old at the time of application.
Academic Performance:
Must have a GPA of B (3.0) or higher on their most recent report card or transcript.
Availability:
Must be available to work at Mojitos Country Club pool for the summer season.
Must be able to attend and complete the required lifeguard training and certification course.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit the following documents:
Completed Application Form:
Available at the Mojitos Country Club office or can be downloaded from our website.
Proof of Age:
A copy of a birth certificate, driver's license, or state-issued ID.
Academic Transcript:
An official or unofficial transcript or report card showing a GPA of B (3.0) or higher.
Personal Statement:
A one-page essay describing why you are interested in becoming a lifeguard, how you plan to contribute to the safety and enjoyment of pool patrons, and what you hope to gain from this experience.
References:
Two references from teachers, coaches, employers, or community leaders who can speak to your character, responsibility, and suitability for a lifeguard position. Letters of reference are not required, only contact information for references that we can reach out to.
Selection Process
Application Review:
All applications will be reviewed by the Mojitos Country Club Leadership.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Interviews:
Selected candidates will be invited for an interview with the Mojitos Country Club Leadership to discuss their application, qualifications, and commitment to the program.
Notification:
Successful applicants will be notified via email or phone within two weeks of their interview.
Scholarship Benefits
Training and Certification:
Full coverage of the cost for lifeguard training and certification at an accredited lifeguard school.
Guaranteed Employment:
Guaranteed lifeguard position at Mojitos Country Club pool for the summer season.
Competitive hourly wage and the opportunity to gain valuable work experience.

Applications must be submitted by 21June2024. Late applications may be considered at the discretion of Mojitos Country Club Leadership.
